Today, Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies sent a delegation of 5 students to meet with Congress to discuss protections under the law for witches. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy invited students Miranda Snow, Jessica Hawthorne, Liliana Mason, Elise Grandy, and Madison Blanchette to the Capitol Building to advocate for an addition of a “natural-born abnormal power” clause to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. This clause would prevent discrimination against witches based on their powers. This would be a substantial next step in achieving a safe and healthy world for all magic-kind. Congress will begin hearings within the next year to decide if the addition of the clause is necessary.

A new addition has been built at Miss Robichaux’s! A brand new, state of the art greenhouse has replaced the old greenhouse in the West Wing. Stocked with high quality potting soil, magical plants in all stages from seeds to fully grown plants, and shelves of new herbology and spell books, this greenhouse is sure to be an invaluable addition to our curriculum here at school. Funded by donors Margaret Wilson and Alexandra Martinez, the greenhouse has been appropriately named the Wilson-Martinez Greenhouse Facility. On her passion for the art of herbology Ms. Martinez said, “I can think of no more important skill for a young witch to learn. Herbology is the basis of all magic, and it is where we got our humble beginnings.” Classes will begin in the greenhouse at the beginning of the spring semester at Miss Robichaux’s.
Endnotes: This section was created with inspiration from the show itself. I felt that it was necessary for the school to have a way to have their voices heard, as "witches" all throughout history have been ignored and persecuted.
